Job Summary

The Field I&E Employee will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, electrical systems, and measurement equipment at our upstream oil and gas facilities near Troy, PA. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in measurement, communications, and electrical work, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in field instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to support safe and efficient operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install, calibrate, and maintain a variety of instrumentation and electrical equipment, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature controllers, level sensors, and motor control centers (MCCs) used in upstream oil and gas operations.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with instrumentation, control circuits, and electrical systems, including 24VDC controls, 120V AC controls, 480V motors, and up to 13.8kV switchgear, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Measurement Systems: Oversee the operation and maintenance of natural gas measurement systems, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, BLM regulations). Perform calibration and testing on measurement devices such as gas meters and analyzers.
  • SCADA and PLC Systems: Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to ensure proper operation of field equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment, using tools like data collectors, diagnostic software, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document repairs and maintenance history.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout-tagout, confined space entry, and gas tech monitoring requirements. Conduct safety inspections on gas systems and respond to emergency calls related to equipment malfunctions or gas leaks.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate detailed work records, including inspection reports, calibration logs, and maintenance documentation, using systems like SAP to order spares and manage inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and field personnel to support equipment commissioning, new installations, and system upgrades. Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and contractors.
  • Field Operations Support: Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the natural gas industry, ensuring all work meets company and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in measurement and electrical work within the upstream oil and gas industry, with a focus on field instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation (e.g., flow, pressure, temperature, level devices) and electrical systems (e.g., VFDs, relays, motors, switchgear).
  • Strong working knowledge of natural gas measurement principles and equipment, including calibration and maintenance of gas meters and analyzers.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, HMIs, and distributed control systems (DCS), with the ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, P&IDs, and single-line diagrams.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems (up to 13.8kV) and low-voltage controls (24VDC, 120V AC).

Education: High school diploma or GED required. An associate's degree in electronics, instrumentation, or a related field, or equivalent training from a recognized trade/technical school, is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with landowners and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (rain, heat, cold) and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations as needed.

Location and Travel: Must be based in or willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of the Troy, PA area. Some travel within the region may be required to support field operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale oil and gas capital expansion projects, from feasibility to commissioning.
  • Familiarity with upstream and midstream oilfield equipment, such as compressors, metering systems, and process control devices.
  • Knowledge of API regulations as they pertain to gas measurement is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • In-House Title Review: Examine title opinions, abstracts, and curative documents to independently assess ownership positions, identify defects, and determine curative requirements. Coordinate directly with outside landmen on complex title issues.
  • Division Order Preparation & Interest Calculations: Prepare division orders and calculate working interest and net revenue interest decimals for new wells, curative changes, and ownership revisions, ensuring calculations reconcile to 100% and comply with company standards.
  • Ownership Change Processing: Process and document ownership changes arising from assignments, probates, heirship, trusts, and corporate name changes. Maintain a clear, well-supported chain of title for each ownership adjustment.
  • Division Order Document Management: Own the full lifecycle of division order and title-related records, including title opinions, curative documents, assignments, and probate/heirship files. Scan, index, and file records in company systems (e.g., Quorum, P2 Land), ensuring documentation is complete, audit-ready, and properly cross-referenced to support ownership decisions.
  • Revenue Obligations & Payment Tracking: Track revenue-related obligations and payment timing, including suspense accounts, unclaimed property/escheatment deadlines, and outstanding curative items holding up payment. Coordinate with accounting to resolve payment discrepancies and minimize owner suspense.
  • Landowner & Mineral Owner Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for landowners and mineral owners on ownership, division order, and payment matters. Respond to inbound owner inquiries and calls with clear, professional communication, and proactively reach out to owners to resolve outstanding ownership or documentation issues.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with landmen, land administration, accounting, and outside counsel to ensure ownership and revenue records stay accurate and current across all company systems.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Land Management, or a related field, or equivalent division order and title experience.

Experience: 5-10 years of combined division order and title experience with an upstream oil and gas operator, preferably in the Marcellus/Utica Shale region. Demonstrated experience independently reviewing title opinions and resolving ownership issues required.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency reviewing title opinions, abstracts, deeds, leases, assignments, and probate/heirship documents.
  • Skilled in decimal interest calculations and revenue distribution principles.
  • Experience managing division order and title records in land management software and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lease & Obligation Management: Track lease terms, primary term expirations, delay rentals, shut-in provisions, and other obligations, ensuring timely notice to the land team to prevent lease lapses.
  • Payment Processing: Process delay rental, bonus, damage, and right-of-way payments to mineral owners and landowners. Coordinate with accounting to ensure timely and accurate disbursement.
  • Contract & Document Administration: Maintain organized lease, right-of-way, and contract files, including scanning, indexing, and filing executed agreements in company land systems (e.g., Quorum, P2, iLandman).
  • Ownership Record Maintenance: Update ownership records to reflect assignments, name changes, probates, and other conveyances, working closely with title and division order teams to keep records current.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Support internal and third-party audits by compiling lease and payment documentation. Assist with regulatory filings and recordkeeping required for compliance with state and county requirements.
  • Acquisition & Divestiture Support: Assist with land data room preparation, due diligence, and file transfer during acquisitions and divestitures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Land Management, or a related field, or equivalent land administration experience.

Experience: 3-10 years of land administration experience with an upstream oil and gas operator, preferably in the Marcellus/Utica Shale region. Experience with lease obligation tracking and owner payments required.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with land management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with oil and gas leases, division orders, and payment processes.

Soft Skills:
